Grounding exercise

This short exercise is designed to help interrupt stress spirals and to create a moment of internal steadiness. It takes about a minute and can be used whenever things feel overwhelming.

A short breathing exercise

  • Sit where you are and let your feet rest on the ground.
  • Place one hand lightly on your lower abdomen.
  • Inhale gently through your nose, allowing the breath to travel down into your lower belly.
  • Exhale slowly through your mouth or nose, whatever feels more comfortable. Letting the breath leave fully.
  • As you exhale, allow the shoulders to soften.
  • Let the exhale be a little longer than the inhale.
  • Repeat a few times, without forcing the breath or trying to change anything else.
🔊 Optional: Listen to a short guided version (60 seconds)
